48. What Do You Think Will Happen Next in This Thrilling Episode, Andrew?
A few minutes later, they all were sitting in two taxis. One contained Andrew, Katrina, and Eva, while the other had Jessica and Austin.Jessica's taxi went first, leading the way for the other one without mentioning the exact destination they were going to. She just instructed Andrew to follow her without any explanation. And so, for several minutes, the taxis drove forward, passing through streets lit up by city lights.
Andrew knew that they might get late and sent a text to Lisa just so that his housekeeper, his lover, wouldn't wait for him and stay up. With this done, he turned back to the two gorgeous girls by his side, each snuggling into his embrace as if he were their lover.
"You two sure are quite comfortable," Andrew remarked with a smirk, his arm casually draping over Katrina's shoulders and his hand resting on Eva's waist.
Eva giggled and snuggled closer to him. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be? I even gave you my first kiss tonight. Not to sound corny, but after everything—including your tongue in my mouth—I don't think getting cuddly is all that sudden or extreme, do you?"
Katrina, on the other hand, was less animated but no less attentive as she traced idle patterns over Andrew's chest. She leaned up to whisper in his ear, her lips just grazing the lobe. "Mm, Eva is right. I mean, we already kissed. Cuddling is practically innocent compared to that."
Then her hand wandered a bit lower, just over his belt buckle, before pulling back. "Although, I could be tempted to be more than a little sinful tonight, given the right... encouragement."
She left her comment hanging in the air, accompanied by a subtle, knowing smile.
"Encouragement, huh? Does that encouragement involve things that would scandalize your public image if they got out, Katie?" Andrew asked back while playing with one of Katrina's orange curls.
"Probably…" Katrina admitted, "…but some risks are worth taking. Wouldn't you agree, Andrew?"
"Indeed. Sometimes the sweetest fruit grows in the most dangerous places," Andrew agreed as their taxi pulled up behind Jessica's taxi near what looked to be a high-end hotel rather than the casual bar or karaoke he expected.
Austin stepped out first, looking as awkward as he had back at the party. He paid the driver and stared up at the grand entrance of the "Golden Heights" hotel, looking both bewildered and concerned.
When Andrew got out of his cab, he narrowed his eyes at his sister and asked in a low voice, "Jessica, mind telling me why we're at a hotel instead of going for drinks somewhere quiet like you said?"
"Oh, Andrew, what do you mean? I didn't exactly lie. This is a place where we can drink, chat, and have fun without all that pesky party noise. Don't you think so?" Jessica flashed him an innocent smile, though her eyes betrayed her mischievous intentions.
She then winked at him and linked her arm through Austin's, pulling him inside. "Anyways, I don't know about you all, but I'm going ahead with Austin. See you later."
Seeing Jessica go away with a guy inside the hotel, Andrew's first reaction was one of anger. After all, she was his sister, and even after they'd gotten involved, she still wanted to be with other men.
But, at the same time, he had also promised her that he wouldn't mess with her affairs unless it went against their mutual agreement. And Austin seemed like a good guy from what Andrew had observed. Not someone who would force Jessica to do anything she didn't want.
"So..." Katrina's voice interrupted his train of thought. "She's going ahead to a room, and the three of us are left standing outside. What do you think will happen next in this thrilling episode, Andrew?"
"It's obvious, isn't it? Jessica's going to have a fuck with Austin," Eva answered without any hesitation, still holding onto Andrew's arm. "And what about us? Are we going to just stand here, or are we going to do something fun together too?"
Andrew let out a deep breath. Even if he wanted to storm in there to prevent the couple from continuing, he'd promised Jessica that he would let her do what she wanted with guys he approved of. And Austin was someone he could perhaps, with a stretch of his imagination, tolerate.
Besides, having the stunning Katrina and Eva waiting for his response made him think that he wasn't any better than his sister either. So he just squeezed both girls a little closer and nodded in the direction of the building.
"We're also going to the hotel. Let's have a little party of our own. With just the three of us."
With those words, Andrew led the girls through the entrance to the reception of the hotel.
Jessica was standing there, leaning over the counter, giving a perfect view of her cleavage to the middle-aged man behind the reception desk.
When she noticed her brother arrive, Jessica shot them a mischievous smile and handed an access key over her shoulder in Andrew's direction.
"Here. Room number 2401 on the 24th floor. You should have a great view of the city from there."
Andrew reached out to take the key card, but before his hand closed around it, Jessica teasingly pulled it back just out of his reach.
"And Andrew..." she said with a wink. "...try not to break anything or anyone." With a final knowing smirk at the two women hanging on his arms, she turned and took Austin's hand, leading him toward the elevators.
Andrew shook his head, a mix of exasperation and amusement playing on his face. "That girl will be the death of me someday."
The two women beside him let out small laughs at his comment.
"But before that happens," Katrina said, slipping her hand down to intertwine her fingers with his, "we should get to our room. All this wait is killing me, and not in a good way."
Eva nodded in agreement, pressing her body even closer against Andrew. "She's right, Andrew. The suspense is not good for my heart."
